At Carroll Hospice our volunteers play an important role in providing patients with a dignified and comforting system of care during their final days.

Whether you are new to the philosophy of hospice care or have become inspired through your own personal loss of a loved one, we know you will find your volunteer experience with us to be personally gratifying, and will come to fully understand the value of hospice care to patients and their families.

Some of our volunteers have professional skills or specialized expertise, but most are just people who want to help their friends and neighbors and serve the community.

Volunteer Training
Carroll Hospice offers volunteer training in the Spring and Fall of each year. Classes are held for seven Monday evenings 5:30 -9:00 p.m. Class size is limited. After completing the training volunteers are qualified to offer companion care in the home, nursing facility or inpatient Dove House.
